Angkor Handicraft Fair – Early January: The program to emphasize Handicraft Made in Cambodia: fashion show, workshop and handicraft demonstration, art shows, live bands and theater. The objective remains the same: to promote Cambodian skills and unique “savoir faire” in handicraft and art.
Chinese New Year – Late January or Early February: Chinese New Year is not official holiday in Cambodia but is widely celebrated anyway, primarily by those of Chinese and part Chinese descent and ethnic Vietnamese. Red and yellow are the colors of the day and celebrants decorate the homes and workplaces in tune with the holiday, preparing festive displays of offerings including red pig, drinks, fruits, cigarettes and other treats.
